Well sir how do you think I found out. My lady did just as you did and had a friend where she was parked bring her home to get the keys.. took them out of the ignition and put them in her purse but left the purse in the truck....she seldom drives the truck and is not that familiar with it.
I wanted to know how she did that and spent some time going through what she could have done to cause her problem...she didn't know about the Park position unlocking all the doors.
What I figured happened, and I demonstrated it to her after I figured it out, was that as she was getting out of the truck, she accidentally depressed the drivers door lock. Upon returning she thought she was locked out and took an alternate solution when all she would have had to do was to open the rear door and reach over and lift the drivers lever. I didn't say anything about it.......best you know to let some things be. Ha!
