I haven't thought about the Masons in years. In 1980 I went through the 3 degrees while I was in college. Shortly after, I left school and moved out west - Co, UT, AK for several years and never returned to it. I wonder if there would still be any records that I was a member. I think the lodge I was in is still extant - not even sure of that. I am a Catholic and at the time asked my priest who has since passed on but at the time was a very good friend of mine about joining and he said it was ok. At one time the Church frowned upon the Masons and that is why they created the Knights of Columbus. I don't know much about K of C but have heard it is a similar fraternal order designed to keep Catholic guys a little closer to the flock.
