Tex, when your new Jimmy truck has a couple of hundred thousand miles on it and 10-12 years have gone by, it's still safe, fast, dependable and hasn't cost a mint to keep up, I'll salute you and it. I gotta say too, that l never realized all those improvements you mentioned were government mandated...I thought it was normal evolution of the species and public outcry...I just didn't know our goverment was virtually designing and engineering our trucks for us too. I thought they were managing the financial matters for some failing manufacturers and regulating how much smoke their products put out. We are so lucky that our government is so capable...and willing to do so much for us.
