Yes. We think it is a great idea, course if they located refineries up there that would save all that shipping.
Lot of whiners out there. Every time you try to do something to help this country get away from foreign energy, you get the whiners.....course they are the same folks burning heating oil to heat their homes and running fossil fuel in their tractors, trucks and cars....and yes Canada is not the US, but Canada and the US share a lot of culture and history, unlike some of the current sources.
I have 2 fuel lines running across the rear of my property that have been there since before I got here 32 years ago. One is 10" the other 13. One of them powers an oil fired electrical generating plant up the road about 20 miles to produce electricity for whiners to use to run their homes.
On only two occasions I saw maintenance crews out in my immediate area repairing the lines. They run bugs down the lines and inspect them continuously. Any sign of a bad weld, rust or what have you they send out a team to fix it before it becomes a problem.
