Actually Tony, Section 179 was expanded for 2010 and 2011 with a bonus 100 percent depreciation up to $500,000 I think. It's rare to ever get a break like that in life! LOL http://deltafarmpress.com/equipment/new-tax-rules-allow-more-write-offs-farm-equipment-purchases

The tractor is nice. It has the powershift transmission, and since it is a 2000 model year, it shifts a lot smoother than the 8630 powershift since the gears are helical cut so they mesh better. Found it on tractor house after searching every day for weeks. http://www.hragripower.com/usedequipment.php

They took the ad down on tractor house I think. It's still on the other website marked sold. Looks nice in person. It was a foggy/misty rain when I took these pictures so they look a little over exposed.

This is a big step up from anything I'm running now. The 3 point hitch on this tractor is rated to lift 10,000 lbs. The biggest tractor I currently have only weighs 9500 lbs, so this one could pick that one up! LOL I'm not going to try it.

One of the only things I need to fix is the radio, and the push button 3 point hitch remote on the back fender doesn't work. Then again, I didn't read teh owner's manual, so maybe you have to have the parking brake set to use it, I don't know...

Regardless, I am happy.

Today's Featured Article - Talk of the Town: The Saga of Grandpa's Tractor - by The following saga is from the Tractor Talk Discussion Forum. Someone. The saga starts with the following message: Hey guys I have a decision to make. I know what you all will probably suggest and it will probably agree with me way down inside, but here it is. I have a picture blown up and framed in my "tractor room" of a Farmall M. It was my Grandpa's tractor, of which whom I never got to meet. He froze to death getting this tractor out of the barn to pull a truck out of the ditch before I was born. Anyway my dad and aunt had to sell it at the auction, ... [Read Article]
