Yes, and my best friend crashed his 58 Vette and got killed in the 1960s - from tuning his radio while driving, with his girlfriend almost on his lap. Funny that after all these years, car radios are still legal. Seems Corvettes and girlfriends are also.
Drivers have caused deaths from reading while driving,farding, tuning radios, hunting, even just talking too much. You cannot legislate common sense.
Look at the Cop who crashed yesterday and has not been charged. In HIS case, the "autorities" say he was only "momentarily" distracted. Hmmm. Ever read a report of a civilian causing and accident and only being "momentarily" distracted?
"Miami police have yet to release a name for the officers who crashed his car into a pole early this morning near NW 6th Avenue and 67th Street. All they've said is he was momentarily distracted and made it out of the car without any injury."
