Read the last paragraph about phone calls at 9:30-10 PM. Sorry, I'm in bed at that time. And yes, I've gotten calls that late from stuff I've sold, whether it's craigslist or local classified; even after I told the person to call before 8:30. It was even worse when I worked 3rd shift.
E-mail is quick, easy and at both the seller and buyer's convenience.
Oh and maybe I don't want to give out my phone number to a potential scam ad (like maybe yours for example). Everyone always thinks the scam people are the potential buyer, but there are scams in sellers. And it goes beyond craigslist and e-bay.
