I bought a small oxy acetylene torch with the Victor name on it.Comes on a cardboard display no country of origin listed on the torch or regulators. The shipping box had some fine print.Torch parts are made in China, regulators assembled in Mexico.Hose and spark lighter are marked made in Usa.regulators and torch parts have no china marks on them.Victor Co has done their best to hide the counrty of origin. The bottles have no origin marks on them.Outfit cost 300 bucks,Could have bought a china torch for 100 bucks and rented some larger bottles.Vise Grips the original ones are made in China and still sell for US prices.Saw some vise grip pliers on a bubble pack marked made in USA on the handle, turn the pack over and see a tiny sticker that says made in china .You can peel the sticker and have a usa tool.My 96 Ford truck has metric nuts and bolts , I have some metric wrenches but always have to go and buy more.My Ford truck was assembled in Canada with metric bolts and has been getting chinese parts when I have to fix it.I needed some grade 8 bolts, they were from Taiwan .
