almost burnt new truck

I was driving home yesterday from Kingston Ont in a new 2012 Frieghtliner M2 with a new car carier on it 1,600km on it. Headed off the 401 north got about 5kms and all of a sudden bang ,Atire blew,pulled over to the side of the road and got out in the rain and saw the left rear wheel had smoke coming from it.I got under truck and the rotor was a nice cherry red and the tire started on fire and then around the caliper.No fire extinguiher,started to panick a little,looked in the ditch no water.I remebered I had a gallon of water in the truck to drink ran and got it.I got the tire put out and it kept reigniting,then finally it stopped,but he caliper kept starting up .I guess the brake fluid or oil seal was starting up ,ran out of water and starting using the water and mud from the ground and finally got it to stop restarting.Got on the phone and called for roadside assistance and 5 hours later I was home and the truck was at the dealer waiting to get fixed. I heard of this happing before but never did I think it could happen to me. It sure doesn't feel too good watching a new $100,000.00 truck start on fire. Anyways the boss said don't worry it's under warranty and carry on.I think I'll be fire extingishers in all my trucks from now on.
