Armand, I am in Southeast lower Michigan, small town by the name of Maybee, where the 3 tallest structures are the water tower, the church steeple, and the grain elevator.
I was down your area a couple years back working.. was there about 8 weeks or so.. Stayed just north of Kankakee.. In Manteno, IL, right along 57.
I'll have to ask again, as I don't remember a whole lot about the machine, like I said, I was little.. But it sat out back till I was about 13.. What I do remember is Grandpa had a "power unit" from something that was a backup for the Cleveland, I believe it was a exact replacement, and the more I sit and think, the more it seems like the engine that was in the old chicken house was a bit larger looking than the F-226 in my MH corn picker.. I wish I would have been a little bit older then maybe I could be more help.. The machine has been gone so long, it's hard for them to recall exactly what it was.. I saw grandpa again this morning, he still swears he has stuff about it wrote down somewhere.. If only he could remember where he says.. LOL.. (I'll also have to ask grandma if she has a picture of it around somewhere..)
I'll have to ask if the engine is still around the farm, as last time I was in the chicken house I didn't see it, but it could have been moved, or it might be long gone. I'll also try to remember to look tomorrow in the "carburetor archives" and see what I have.. There's about 5 or 6 that were given to me. The person who give them to me bought them in a box lot at a sale.. I just put em on the shelf, never looked to see what they were really.
Someday I'd like to find one like they had and make it mechanically sound, just for the grins and giggles.. Like I tell people who look at some of the things I've accrued: I "collect" things that I either find neat, unique, or different, or things that I remember from when I was a child..
