It's so good to see you posting your wonderful pictures again, hopefully life is getting back to somewhat normal for you and your family after your loss. It's funny to me to see you in a Tshirt and shorts as my mind says it should be cold in PA but obviously it's not. It hit 97 here today, too darn hot for the end of September but.......it will cool off a little soon (we hope). Been busy trying to get the garden back into shape after it all but burnt completely up this summer. Hope to get some cool weather goodies in the ground pretty quick, and then hope we don't get another freeze like we did last winter. Farmer down the road has 32 acres of field corn planted, been in about 3 weeks now and it's looking great. He also planted 20 acres of cabbage early this week and it's already up. Hopefully it doesn't burn up before it get's a good start. We are so lucky to have irrigation here, or we would be in the same condition so much of Texas is in with everything dead from the heat and lack of water. I have managed to keep my year old orange and grapefruit trees alive by giving them a good soaking every other week. No oranges, but I do have some ruby reds that look great. My several year old lemon tree is doing well and has several dozen lemons that will be ready to pick in a few months. Peach, plum and fig trees just survived the best they could. The fig tree lost most of it's leaves several times during the summer, but we did get a few figs....and the birds got the rest. As we always say, it will.....or should be better next year!
Glad your back Larry, and if your back working be sure and get some pics of the work you do. I really enjoy seeing the results of your masonry skills.
