This little fellow followed me home today. In faded letters on the hood it says Workmaster 601 but in the casting above the starter it says 641 w s/n 133730. He was in a shed that we moved for a customer. Part of the farm was sold and according to the son the tractor was bought new by his parents. Seems in pretty fair shape for 50 yrs.old. I have a few questions.... Is this color the one that it came from the factory with? The grill and wheels are grey and the red color appears to be original??? It has a 12 volt battery in it but the way the points are burned I am guessing 6 volt system. With all adjustments correct will starting be reliable? How about that gas line going right over the top of the engine and manifold? should it be insulated or is vapor lock not an issue? Anyone recognize the mower? It appears to all be there.....maybe I can get a job mowing road banks :)My blood generally runs green but this thing could find a home here.
