Back blade is good at moving material around. It's not good at making 'level'. It makes 'washboard'. Would be very hard to make a smooth drive; but will tske a pile of gravel down the road to someplace else.
An angled blade does good at leveling. Pretty aggressive for maintaining the road, but works well. Snow - eh. Did that for a few years here in MN, you quickly run out of room to stack the snow, and drifts back in higher, you end up spending hours moving snow out of the way in small bites.
A landscape rake angled does a wonderful job of maintaining a drive, pulling the gravel back to center & finishing it up.
I only use the landscape now, but the drive is in pretty good shape now, run the rake over it 2 x a year and good.
