This reminds me of my story... Around 10-12 years ago I seen a combine for sale in a local paper. So I drove to Erie pa. to look at the Machine, really wasn't what we were looking for but the man several things in the add & we looked about all of them. Bought a Auger Wagon & seen an old John Deere in the back of the machine shed, I asked what that old 2 Lunger? He said it's a 60 & it's in bad shape, Whats wrong with it? He said it's in bad shape & doesn't run very well.. I asked is it forsale too? He thought & Said YES but it's in bad shape? So I climbed up over a 224T baler, rake & grain drill.. Jumped up on where the seat belonged nothing but a board. Had good tires & i turned on the igntion too far & all the lights came on.. I didn't try to start it & made arrangment that we were coming back to get the the Auger Wagon if he could get it out so I could really see it.. He said he could But it's in Bad SHape. He wanted 600.00 for the tractor.. Came back the following Saturday & paid for the wagon & I started the tractor & Loaded it on the semi trailer for the 600.00 all it really needed was a intake manifold that was cracked & sucking air, best part I had a good Intake manifold because I had just replace both on another 60 we farm with. This tractor is named the Pullen Fool & after loading it, the farmer drags out the 801 3point & the 2 piece front weights & said they went with the machine..... End of Long Story.. RLA
