There is absolutely nothing to this whole "chemtrails" horse manure. Too many conspiracy theorists out there who always believe that there is something sinister going on, from chemtrails to the Kennedy assasination.
I fly for a major airline and all of the airlines are there to make money. Why would we go through the expense of installing extra tanks to manipulate the weather or people??? American doesn't paint it's airplanes because the lack of paint saves several hundred pounds in weight and therefore saves fuel. Added up by the number of airplanes they fly it accounts for some serious savings.
This website does a good job of explaining why contrails form and why they sometimes dissipate quickly or sometimes hang around.
