Today after I got out of work, it was raining on & off so instead of ging to the farm I went home to work on replacing the carpet in the nursery, as the previous home owners dog went in there a few times and consequently so did ours, except it was becoming more & more of a habit because they'd do it at night.
As I was carrying the old tack strips out the back door to my truck, my foot slipped on the wet wooden step on the deck and I went down like a ton of bricks. Not sure what part of me did it, but I broke one of the boards on the steps and I got 2 good scrapes on my back and one on the back of my thigh. Good thing I'm still young or I really woulda been hurting.....
I called dad to see if he had any extra deck boards, which he did from a wheel chair ramp he removed for someone else. He was coming my way any way so he loaded up the board and a couple tools and we fixed it quick and he was on his way. Still sore tonight, we'll see how I feel in the morning.
