Well Tea Man...Better to be Pi$$ed off than pi$$ed on! LOL A person can certainly ask whatever they want for their own equipment...just like I stated in my original post! My point was that people sound/look like azzes when they do that "Ebay type chit" on here: Labeling something "rare" or representing it as something more than it is, or implying that it is something real special by the asking price is picked up on by people on a tractor board...BECAUSE PEOPLE ON HERE KNOW TRACTORS! ...and I think it is insulting our collective intelligence! It is one heck of a nice C, and made even sharper by the different but still approprite color. BUT: My point is twofold: A) It is a Farmall C, now they are one heck of a tractor, our Super C is probably my favorite of 10 or 12 tractors...but the fact remains it is still a C. On it"s VERY best dy a C is worth maybe $2500 simply because you can turn the corner and trip over another one. Now I would venture a gues that due to the fact that it is a White C it may be worth $500 more max IF it can be proven that it was originally a white demo which segues (that"s a smooth transition to save you the time looking it up) nicely into poin B) Is the serial number appropriate for a White Demo? Is there photographic documentation that an original layer of white paint was located somewhere under the layers? How do we know that the tag is original? I could go to one of 3 yards within in 50 miles of my home and check scrapped C serial number plates until I found an early 50 and rivot it on! I am painting a JD B industrial yellow just for something different...maybe I could claim it left the factory that way and it might be worth $500 more than the $2500 that a JD B is worth on it"s best day, but in reality it"s gonna be just a real nice late model JD B that is Yellow...just like that C is a real nice Farmall C that is white! If it is yours then I commend you on the job you did and hope you can Bull Schnit someone who doesn"t know better, that it is worth $6500! ...now to find a life...should i work on the "52 CJ 3A I am restoring, or the Super M, or should I get the Super H and 420 hooked up to the plows and get the plows greased for a plow day Sat? Or maybe work on the pair of 44H plows I am makeing out of 3 junk pair, or put the mold boards on the Super C quick hitch plow? Or maybe get the JD A we just bought home...hmmm no life! BTW all of those tractors mentioned are still the standard color!
