The tach cable originally hooked up to the generator, assuming that you have the 236 Perkins engine you can get a 90 degree tach drive for a 255/265 which used this engine and mounts on the front timing cover. Your tractor should have a plate on the timing cover that you can remove and install this adapter. Then you may have to get a slightly longer tach drive cable to reach from the adapter to the tach. All of these parts can be bought from aftermarket suppliers and is reasonalby priced. As for the filter you may can get it out by removing the lift top and the left hand plate on the side of the rear end housing where the PTO linkage goes through. Before removing the lift top make sure you remove the right hand cover where your hyd/trans. dipstick goes in and remove the roller in the control valve fork on the pump to keep from destroying the control linkage when you remove the lift top. If you do not have a service manuel get one or at least consult an experienced Massey-Ferguson mechanic.
