The Power Block can actually be taken to a 7 3/8" bore, just like any other G block. There is no real advantage by using a Power Block. You might be able to get a little more compression out of it, but you can get all you need out of a stock block when you get to building one for pulling. The Power Block is also a pain because you had to put the pistons in from the back of the block. With the stock block pull the head and they'll come out of the top. If you were building one for pulling it wouldn't be worth the time spent searching for one or money spent buying one to go that route. The best block to use is the unstyle G block, it is one inch longer than the style block therefore giving you an extra inch to use for rod length or for lowering the wrist pin so it isn't all the way up in the rings.
