Well first of all I would get rid of all CHAMPION plugs on the farm. I run a lot of these older H, M, 300, 400 and 450's. I found out, if you want it to start and run great put in Auto Lite plugs size 3116. Your other problem might be is you have a intake leak, check the tightness of the bolts on the manifold. Set the points at .020 gap and the plugs at .030 gap. E - Mail me if you need more help.
