Are you talking about resurfacing the pressure plates, or the disks that have lining on both sides. I would suggest having the disks relined as a first try. My local clutch/brake shop had no problem relining the ones for my MD and they work great now. Before that one side had no brakes and the other locked up at any pressure applied. You can also buy new disks with lining already on them at Case/IH, but they are expensive. Having them relined was less than half.
