You probably bought an M&W pump for an M.
No, there is no (easy) way to bolt a crankshaft pump on like an 8N. Take a look at the front. The crank comes out of the front bolster at an angle to miss the vertical steering shaft.
In order to make it work you would have to tear the front end of the tractor off, and custom machine the crankshaft pulley to accept a universal joint to match the angle of the crank hole in the front bolster. You would have to machine the front bolster to mount the pump. Lots of work, lots of expense, more than the tractor is worth. Plus the universal joint would fail quickly due to the hammering from the engine.
The cleanest install would be to find the right M&W pump.
Next would be an IH live pump, but unless your tractor is newer than mid-1950, you will need a different front engine cover and timing gears. This is an expensive option as the pumps run ~$900 alone.
Another option would be to belt drive a salvaged power steering pump off the crankshaft pulley.
