I grew up riding on the toolbox of a SMTA with my dad from the time I was 3 or 4 years old. He told me what things moved and what to stay away from. Rode on the back of a 350U on the toolbox also with fasthitch. I survived because I was taught common sense. I get where you are coming from but I bet more kids are hurt today on mowers and equipment that is loaded with safety guards and the like because they have a false sense of security with all the shields and guards etc , but all that extra stuff cannot protect you from ignorance . Common sense and respect for what the machines are capable of doing is what is needed . Tractors don't kill people , people kill themselves with tractors and other equipment sometimes because they do not understand and avoid the things that can hurt them. Teach your kids how to use things properly , don't just teach them to fear and avoid everything. Just my 2 cents .
