I know this is the Farmall/IH forum, but I tried this post in oher discussions areas and got one respone ! You guys seem to respond much better (yes I am succking up: I need help !) So here is the story (and yes, I do own a 51 IH M that is much easier to work on !) Bought a Massey 44d recently with a an American Bosch PSB pump. Supposedly the previous owner replaced a fuel line just before I got it and then could not get it started. I bleed all lines and checked that I have fuel pumping on the return side when I turn it over, but am getting nothing at the injectors. The American Bosch PSB pump has the stop valve built into it: pushing the throttle all the way forward shuts the fuel off. The throttle linkage connects to the PSB via a shaft & collar. Could this be the problem maybe ? It sure acts as though the fuel is shut off. Also, I can operate the hand primer forever and never feel any resistance. Shouldn't some pressure build up after priming by hand for ten minutes ? Is there any place to get any documentation on these pumps ?
