Nothing like turning the key and the starter goes "AAAWWWEEEEEEErrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Busted bedix spring. What a massive pain in the rear to go that thing off of the tractor. Fixed it for the same thing like 1980 or 81 many moons ago. Tractor has the U2 ?? losder on it. The hydaulic lines need to be un hooked and the battery removed and all of the wires and on and on. Also need to remove the starter solinoid. Takes like an hour and a half. This was over a month ago. Now try to find the PARTS!!! Very quickly I found that every repair place I knew were ALL gone! Finally found one near Atlantic City, "Daves" and he had a New old stock complete bendix. I got the part and new brushes for $30.oo total! Putting it together tonight. Fun Fun
