Just because it's a farmall message board doesn't means you can't look at other tractors. Just go out tractor browsing, go to the local dealers and see what they got and what they cost. You might climb ontop a Ih 706 and not like it. As far as implements go, if you look at the sales brochure's for equipment most smaller haying equipment can be ran by a 35 hp tractor, meaning a lot cheaper to run compared to a 60-7o hp tractor. You might consider looking at a 40 hp diesel tractors, like a ford 4000,5000 or massey 240,255. And to move bale's try a bale spear on the back if your want to move bales right away. Just keep in mind, things like ease of operation ( things like power steering, independant pto, hydrolic ports, rops), parts availability in your area. hope this helps.
