Dennis...I have had similar experiences chasing down parts. What I have found the hard way is that if your time is of value to you and you don't like driving all over the place chasing down parts, it is easiest to pick up the phone and call someone you trust to send the parts right to your front door. You usually don't pay sales tax and the cost of shipping is made up in the cost of time and mileage. I heard of Ken Updike on this board and he worked out very well. Prices were better than local sources and the parts came right to my door. If you need pre-owned parts, go with Gary Biewer at (218) 937-5627...again, his prices were better than my local sources and shipped right to my house. I got exactly what I needed in both cases and fast. I doubt I will ever go to a local supplier as long as these guys are around...BB
