Yes, the 282 is a fine engine, hopefully I didn't make it sound too bad. It is really good on fuel and has enough power to do what a 706 should do. Its just that people have had problems with head gaskets. I replaced mine 100+ hours ago (was leaking when I bought it) and have had no problems since. Good luck.
