When we engage the clutch on the 400 farmall, there is no easing into it. It is real grabby, more so going forward than reverse. Like throw- you-off-the-seat-if-your-not-hanging-on-tight grabby. But it does seem to get temporarily better if you are doing a lot of clutching. It is pretty close to pedal all the way released when engaging, but there is a little adjustment left, it looks like to me. I just thought that maybe with it temporarily improving, the clutch was gettin wet when sitting then drying off when used more? By wet i mean oily. Is this just a wore out clutch or a bad seal? Is there an inspection plate where one could see the clutch condition without splitting?
