Thanks Bob M. yes it worked fine! Little big for where it had to go though, I'm going to complain to them and see if they have anything better. seems pretty cheaply made too... wonder if I can revive the lucas one?
I Made all new connections in the old wire and checked the insulation in the bundle as far as I could and all seems ok. The Generator puts out almost 16v with no load but only 13.8 hooked to the battery which was in need of a charge. the ammeter read 25a. How would I test the cut off? Want to be sure this regulator doesn't fry my battery. Also is there any usefulness in putting a Gen light on the dash ?
