Guys, a buddy called me and asked me to appraise his 856, but it is too new to fall in my area of expertise; it is in very nice condition, has approx. 200 hrs on an out of frame rebuild which was done at a CaseIH dealer, it is dsl. has good rubber, all the systems work well, and has only been used the past 12-15 years to pull a disc at the dirt track he owns/promotes. He is planning on retiring from the track and is going to be selling his equipment this fall, just wanted an idea of where he should be as an actual selling price as he doesn"t want to do like so many and price it thousands high and sit on it for ever, but also wants to get his value from it, it is located on the border of NY/Pa near Binghamton, NY as I know location does count when pricing, the paint is good but a tad faded, the tin is all very nice....I already valued the 2 owner IH 100 for him, then immediately crossed his palms with a check for that amount, and it"s in my garage along with the snowplow, chains, plow and stone rake LOL. Thanks
