You'll gain about 10 HP with a 240 engine in a C, but you will also speed up your PTO over 40%. That might be too much for some PTO driven implements, if you intend to use those. Then if you idle it down, you will lose much of the HP you gained. Don't run any PTO implements?...you will be okay.
