My 1950 "H" is number FBH-339655-X1. The hood itself measures a fore-and-aft length of 33 5/8". The distance between the grill and the gas tank, is different. I had taken everything apart a few years ago to sand-blsat and paint, and when I put it all back in place, things didn"t quite fit. Discovered the steering wheel support stand had had a big "ding" previously installed in it, so the gas tank would fit in there. Also discovered the gas tank and supporting stands would move slightly, back or forth, depending on where I wanted to bolt things down. I wound up putting a big galvanized washer under the front triangleular-suppport-stand, to it slightly tilted the steering wheel support post to the rear. It all fits just fine. Looks good. Is it "correct"? You bet. Moral of the story = don"t worry too much about the gap between gas tank and grill. It varies.
