Hello,
its that time of year again to pull out the tractors and get"em going. My F30 Clutch Pressure plate is currently shimmed with 3 washers in all 6 bolts spots in order to keep the fingers from being completely pushed in. This is the only way that I can get the clutch to work. With out the shims the fingers are pushed all the way in and there is no movement or play with the clutch plate which means I have no clutch.
I know that this is not the correct procedure but now am wanting to do it properly. How do I adjust the pressure plate so I can ensure finger movement? Is there any special tools needed? I am pretty good at fixing things but have never had to adjust the clutch yet.
