My 560D starts hard (at least a minute with the glow plugs). As someone mentioned, watch the current draw - that tipped me off to a bad connection recently. I also just got the manuals, and it says to continue holding the glow plugs on while cranking and until the engine runs evenly. I haven't had a chance to try this since the wiring is on the shop floor. I think it will help in my case - I could always get the tractor to catch and run a few seconds, but then it would die. The manual also say that a minute is normal at those temps, and a minute and a half at colder temps.
