I just picked up a 560 diesel with what the seller says 450 hours on engine job when first starting I run glow plugs for 45 seconds then start to crank it has to crank quite a bit without much smoke or even a sputter but all of a sudden it fires up on all six and with in a minuet smoke has cleared Now on my 460 diesel with 5500 plus hours and six new glow plugs I can glow plug for 20 seconds and start to crank it will smoke and cough right off and catch on 3 cylinders and pick up on all six with in a couple minuets but smoke won"t clear until up to 180 degrees Tested glow plugs on 560 and all work but why would that one need to crank so much more to start ? Thanks dan.
