My 1953 Super C has not had lights on it since I owned it.Just for grins last night while I had it running I turned on the light switch and the Ammeter and the Temp gauge lit up. You could have nocked me over. On my dad's 1950 C the gauges don't light. I wrote Bob M and was telling him and he said that he thought that was unusual and I should try and save them when I restore the tractor. The temp gauge has a cracked glass and what looks like a bunch of little pieces of white plastic looking stuff in it. The ammeter is not to bad but has a craked glass also. Has anyone ever redone one any of these type gauges and is there anything I should know or look for.?And is it infact unusual for them to light. They do say IH right on them.
