If you can find parts from a 686 that had a D310 it would make it much easier. The rear plate from that tractor would fit your engine and the 460 clutch housing. You could probably also use the flywheel but I'm not sure how the starter will line up. The Front mount you will have to fabricate since the 460 engine mounts on top of the frame rails while all the latter tractors have the front engine plate attach to the inside of the frame rails. I don't know if there will be room for the steering shaft along side the German engine. The D358 may be a bit tall for the 460.
