Got the old B414 running good now I have a noise from the clutch ( I think). It has a 2 stage clutch and when the tractor is running and in nuetral it makes a "chatter". When depressed in the first stage it changes nothing. when the second stage is depressed it stops.when I re -engage the the second stage it the noise will start again ( some times) but it I keep depressing and engaging I can get it to stop. Is this the throwout bearing? pilot bearing?
Now here is where I rat myself out. I had the pto cover off and the 3 bolts also hold the in the pto shaft . the shaft came out a little enough to make the oil leak out.I pushed it back in and bolted it back up tight. Did I do something? Is it something I can correct? It did not make the noise before this "event".
