Hello again,
I am getting closer to finishing up a 1948 Cub and I am at the Generator now. I just purchased a Generator for it with the brackets. It's a Delco Remmy 1101355 8G14 and I am getting a 14v reading off of it. I thought that they were 6V Gennys. Is it possible that someone wired it 12v? It does have a cut out on it and I have cleaned all the grounds and all the coonections and ran emory cloth through the contacts on the cut out as well. I have a Magneto on the the tractor and jump start it with a 12v battery for now until I figure out which way to go. I disconnect the battery after starting the tractor. What is up? Do I have a cross breed genny or what? Is it working right for a 12v system if so I will go 12v.
