This summer I interned as a mechanic at a Case IH dealership. After a reading a few documents from Case that were sent to the dealership that I worked at this is what I took of the merger. The Case IH name and colors will remain on the large tractors, and the small tractors will carry the New Holland name and colors. Even though they will keep there names the Corperate name will be CNH Global. As was stated earlier the tractor plant will remain in Racine. The Case IH combine plant will be moved to the New Holland TR Combine plant in Nebraska. The main reason for this is because at the current plant in Moline, there is only three inches of clearence between the top of the exit door and the combine when they come off of the assembly line. From what I have read, they will offer bothe the Axial Flow and the TR combine. Eventually the goal for CNH is to offer a whole new line up of equipment by 2004.
