Dads C roared to life tonight

After six months of hard work my Dads 1950 C fired over for the first time tonight. It would have never happened without the help of this board and with a special thanks to Bob M and The Red.Bob sent me an e-mail that nailed it on the head what had happend.It seemed after new plug wires and condensor and points ,rotar and cap that it was bad out of time. Had spark at the mag but none at the plugs.Bob sent me an e-mail telling me how to swap the wires to see if it was 180 out.No matter how I tried to time it with the mag I couldn't make it run. I found an old photo of the tractor before we worked on it and the old wires had been out of order just how Bob described to check for being out of time.It was so far out that I took the small gear out behind the rotor bug and turned it one tooth at a time till I got at least a backfire then I moved it 180 and put it back together and it fired first hit. Oh baby it sounded good.My neighbor works at Paul Muellers who make stainless steel tanks and he made me a high polished stainless straight pipe for it and it sounded so cool. As soon as I get a few photos of it I will post them for everyone.Thank you again everybody for putting up with my many rookie questions. Bob M I owe you a big steak. Man life is good.
