I was so tired of the 6V battery always leaking, tired of having to generator & regulator adjust to charge. This tractor only see's use when it snows. Otherwise its sits in the shed. I converted igniton over to pertronix, also got there 12V coil without any resistors, & set of wires. Went thru starter just cause, rewired tractor. Charlieu has diagrams on his website. Now when starting the tractor, have a chargine system that works. Also it will charge @ 400rpm, 10si need to be reved up over 850rpm. I like the small size of the Hitachi, lots of room on Super W6. Not so much on the H. Thats my 2 cents to this subject.
