Super A front end again

I have heard that some of the A -SA-100-130-140 series tractors had adjustable rear tread width in a different method than I described in my response to Mike Settle's question on the same topic. My answer was for the A. I saw a 140 once that had the rear axles stick though inside the final drive housings down between the wheels. Was this all of them? When did IH start using this feature? Thnaks for the info.
