I knew a month ago that my distributor wasn't advancing/retarding as I varied rpms on my Farmall 460. As it has gotten colder the tractor has gotten harder to start with 20 deg. fixed advance. Once the engine was warm it started fine. Took it apart today and found enough rust to hinder the flyweights from retracting and the oil to lube the cam lobe piece that needs to rotate on the regular shaft was thick and draggy. Have replacement springs on the way as the old ones are half rusted through. I already have a electronic conversion installed and am quite pleased. If I have left out something let me know. Will post results when finished. Hope this might help someone. kev
