And before you put the tires on the rims, wire brush the rim, smooth rough spots, and paint it (on the side where the tube touches the rim). I use a zinc chromate primer. Let the paint dry for a good two weeks. Then use lots of talcum powder on the tube. I know that is a long time but you'll thank yourself the next time the tire comes off. And it may be longer before it comes off.
