Gents- Back in the bad old days, when I was doing automotive fuel and electrical work, I got "blindsided" and "snake bit" by stuff in the gasoline. I think it is methanol, or MTBE, or whatever... Yes, just as you describe here, I've seen it and I've had customer come backs because of it. You look at the spark plug and you can't see anything wrong with it. Throw 'em in the trash can, 'cuz they're somehow shorted out by stuff you can't see. Simply replace the sparkplugs and the mo-sheen runs like a champ... Several times I swapped 'em into my Chevy powered "Super F-20", tested, and ended up angry. We got petro supplier corporate dirt bags doing all sorts of bad stuff to people. Yes, the Champion Y series plugs work real good. Even better was the U series plugs, that don't seem to be available anymore. Use a UJ-21Y and a 70's era GM HEI ignition system and you can fire a rusty nail in a bucket of water. Grins, IHank
