The building alongside, the the painted sign is still in the cordoned-off part of the CBD. (Most of the CBD is still cordoned-off 16 months after the shake). The building looks as if it will stay. The business is operating from a garage in the suburbs until they can get back into the city. The brick wall is probably not part of the adjoining building but may have been the wall of the building that was there originally. The old building was demolished but the boundary wall left standing and the new building built inside it. There have been several instances of such old walls found during the demolishing around thew city. I hope that it will stay but something will eventually be built where the old Horse Bazaar used to be. It stopped selling horses in the early 1920s then became a produce market and just before the earthquake was a bar and entertainment centre.
