Looked at a Super MD yesterday and have a couple questions for you Farmall guys. The engine was swaped back in the day what should I look for as far as the casting dates to see if it is still correct for a 1954 Super MD.He says if you leave the petcock open on the diesel the crank case fills up with diesel, is this in the pump? He says it runs and sounds good on diesel didn't try gas. The exhaust manifold is busted, is it harder to find for the diesel and how much money. Where the frame rails bolt to the pedastel there is about a two inch gap between the rails and where they should be, lenght not width, are the rails different between gas and diesel? Any help would be appreciated he only wants $800.00 just want to know what I might be getting into. Thanks
