JRM,I just repaired both of these items on my F-14,on my steering coupler it was a pin that was staked into place,I had to drill it all the way thru to relieve the pin so it would move with a punch and hammer.I heated the spline and tapped with a punch and hammer ond off it came. The clutch pivot is not welded but pressed in,mine was also worn out and I could not get it out either,so out came the drill again.I drilled thru the center, being carefull to stay in the center and staight.I drilled the 5/8 pin out with a 1/2 bit and got under what was left in the hole with a center punch an worked it out.Now the other problem is the pedal is probably worn also,so what i did was to drill and tap the pivot hole to 3/4 and drilled the pedal hole to 3/4.Then i threaded a bolt with enough shank to fit the pedal and tightend in place with loc-tite,I cut the bolt head off and drilled a cotter pin hole and mounted the pedal. You cant even tell its not stock. hope I helped, Daniel M.
